AT LEAST I TRIED

Not every project is a success, technically.. but still something I would not be without. Maybe someone could have told me, but it is something with the experience.. and you never know, it might pop up a great idea. But also let me ensure you, I would never experiment with a client object. This is my “Keeper” or could be a part of my Keeper.

But anyway, my plan was to try to inlay pure silver then darken the steel dial with chemicals. As you see on the 2nd. photo it did not work well. But luckily I could polish it all up again and shade the the leafs and leave the silver a tiny bit more bright. Not even close to what I would want, but still I think I saved it pretty well. But if making it like this from the start, I would choose different leaves.

I´m sure I will try again, at some point.. but for now I leave this one as it is in the experiment drawer, work on other projects and when the need is there, I´ll try a different way.
